WEST MILTON - The Milton-Union Education Foundation will host its 15th Annual Pot-of-Gold Breakfast fundraiser 7:15 a.m. March 12 at the Senior Citizens’ Center, 435 W. Hamilton St.
 
Guest speaker for the breakfast will be Michael S. Ruetschle, Architect for Milton-Union’s new K-12 building.
 
Ruetschle is a principal of the architecture firm located in Dayton, with roots dating back to the 1950s. As design leader of the firm, he is responsible for firm projects and takes a primary role in conceptual design and project design. Ruetschle has led the design and planning of more than $420 million in Educational projects in Ohio in the last 10 years.
 
A breakfast catered by The Brick House Cafe will be followed with entertainment by the high school show choir Center Stage.
 
This year’s grant recipients will be recognized and include the following staff members: Lara Limbert, Elementary Intervention Specialist - $233; Debby Luke, first grade teacher - $196; Tracy Murray, fifth grade teacher - $195; Charlotte Kramer, computer-multi-media teacher - $324; Michelle Lane, middle school math teacher - $587; Julie Motz, MS math teacher - $587; Katrina Yungmann, middle school intervention specialist - $1,150; and Tracy Andrews, high school English teacher -$276.
 
The Milton-Union Education Foundation is a non-profit, tax-exempt endowment fund with a mission to provide funds/grants to faculty, students and employees for the creation of, or participation in, enrichment programs in the Milton-Union School District that are not normally funded by the school district. The foundation is funded through tax deductible contributions from individuals, families, and businesses who wish to support the foundation’s activities.
 
In recent years, these funds have provided grants to teachers in the elementary, middle and high school for programs, supplies and materials that have benefited hundreds of students in each school. The Milton-Union Education Foundation endowment account is managed by The Dayton Foundation.
A $25 donation is asked to attend the breakfast and you may bring a guest for free.
