WEST MILTON - Making West Milton the destination for holiday shopping - local businesses come together to present the 20th Annual Holiday Open House on Nov. 19-22.

The four-day event is designed to present what the businesses have to offer for the holiday shopping season as well as create an atmosphere in downtown that will bring people to shop in the village.

“I think one thing we all do is promote West Milton as a destination,” said Really Cool Stuff owner Karen Callahan. “It makes a really great day of shopping. We serve a far greater area than just West Milton.”

Along with Really Cool Stuff the other participating business include: The Hen’s Nest, Angel Heaven, The Country Flower Bin, Wertz Variety and Sue’s Scent from Above. Many of the businesses feature local artists and crafters.

Student charged after running naked at Milton-Union game

BY WILL E. SANDERS

Brown News Service

WEST MILTON -  At the Milton-Union High School girls powder puff football game Tuesday night, the seniors beat the juniors in a 38-34 thriller.

That alone isn't newsworthy, and neither is the fact the girls in the Class of 2010 are now on a two-game winning streak.

Unfortunately, and more importantly, that's not the only "streak" at play here.

That's right, in front of hundreds of spectators, including staff and teachers, parents, and the girls themselves - not to mention young children - an act of rebellion made most famous by comedic singer/songwriter Ray Stevens took place.

Don't look Ethel!
