By CECILIA FOX Record Herald Writer BETHEL TOWNSHIP - Incumbent Cliff Wray will serve another term as a Bethel Township Trustee. Wray received 55 percent of the vote, defeating opponent Brian Swinderman. “I’d like to thank the voters of Bethel Township for their continued support,” said Wray. He received a total of 951 votes, according the Miami County Board of Elections website. Wray has served as a township trustee for the past eight years. He prides himself on such accomplishments as recent improvements to Fire and EMS services, sewer and road improvements, and maintaining a solid, conservative budget. “I am passionate about our community; its residents, businesses, and the ‘Bethel Way of Life’,” said Wray. His goals for his next term as a Bethel Township Trustee are to continue the fight against annexation, maintain a conservative budget, and preserve the what he calls the “Bethel way of life.” “Together we will continue to fight against annexation,” said Wray. During the next four years, Wray says he would also like to encourage the community to be more active in the decision making process. Wray is a Dayton native and a graduate of Tecumseh High School and The Ohio State University. He is the owner of Saunders Seed Co. in Tipp City. Wray has raised four children, Aaron, Matt, Emily, and Megan, with his wife Lou Anne. |
