TIPP CITY - On Feb. 16, Broadway Elementary participated in Jump Rope for Heart, a national program jointly sponsored by the American Alliance for Health, Physical Education and Dance and the American Heart Association.  They also sponsor Hoops for Heart, which the other Tipp City schools participated in the week before (see details of that event at Tipp shows 'heart').

This is the third year Broadway kids have taken part in Jump Rope for Heart. Kindergarteners jumped rope in their classroom, while grades one through three stayed an hour after school - boys and girls alike.

According to Principal Galen Gingerich, the preliminary total amount raised between pledges and donations is $2,000.
