Roy Webb of Tehachapi, CA, formerly of Tipp City, passed away on Friday, May 6, 2011. He was born in Lester, WV, on August 24, 1935 as 1 of 9 children to Clyde and Josephine Webb.

He joined the Air Force in 1954, and was honorably discharged in 1958. He married Virginia “Ginny” Adams on Christmas Eve, 1959 and spent most of their life in Tipp City, Ohio. In 2003, Roy and Ginny moved to Tehachapi to be near Emilee and Ross (and possibly Shelley & Jim).

Roy responded to the gospel at an early age, but said nothing really changed in his life until after meeting Ginny, and they together began attending what is now Community Bible Church - where he then re-dedicated his life to Christ, and committed himself to raising a Christian family.

He is survived by: daughter Shelley and her husband Jim who rendered him “Papa” to grandchildren Emilee and Ross; daughter Amy and her husband Stefano who live in Italy; 5 sisters: Joann Johnson, Geneva Acord, Judy Cozart, Helen Ayers, and Margaret Acord; and best friends of a lifetime (guardians to their children): Tom & Doris English.

He would want you to rejoice that he is now with Jesus, and reunited at His feet with Ginny (whose death in December 2007 he never got over). If you can’t rejoice, he would want you to meet Jesus as a result of our rejoicing.
